OUR TEAM is amazing! We specifically choose each of our staff members for their friendliness and ability to build relationships with children. Not every person was born to interact with children all day – but we were!
Dental Hygienist
Since graduating from ETSU, Chandra has been a dental hygienist for 20+ years. She says it’s pretty simple why she loves her job, “I love helping to keep smiles beautiful.” Chandra and her husband Tim have two pre-teen boys. She spends her time off being the boys’ taxi service running them activity to activity. She often laughingly says her best quiet moments are in the car, having a nice carb heavy snack, while waiting on her boys.
Charity may have spent a bit of her childhood in Michigan, but she got to Tennessee as fast as she could! After graduating from Cherokee High School, she went on to Walters State Community College and has been a registered dental assistant for over 20 years. She loves her job, but honestly, we think she comes to work for birthday lunches! Charity and her husband Bryan have a busy schedule supporting their son Carson on the soccer field and basketball court. Their family loves to travel and also camp at some of our beautiful spots in the Smokies. The Waters family are active members of Persia Baptist Church in Rogersville.
Front Office
As part of our front office team, Ciara is here to help kids feel welcome and unafraid at their dental appointments. As a mom of two boys, she can relate to the kids and help them see that our dental team is full of friendly and fun faces. When not at work, Ciara and her fiance Aaron love traveling and supporting her eldest son as he plays football and baseball.

When you come into our office, you may see Dawn in multiple roles. Sometimes she works the front office, other times she puts her dental assisting certificate to use and helps with patients. Dawn has nearly 20 years experience as a dental assistant. As a military brat, Dawn was born in Germany and spent some of her childhood there. Moving around during her childhood helped her learn to make friends quickly. To this day, Dawn still loves meeting new people. Dawn and her husband Steve have three children and love being grandparents.
Office Manager
Update Debbie’s Bio: Debbie has worked with our team since 1991. She is from Bean Station and has three children and one granddaughter. Her time with us has allowed her to get to know families. Now a second generation is coming to our sister office, Morristown Pediatric Dentistry, and she loves meeting the children of the original patients she met in our care. Debbie loves doing anything outside—sports, running, playing golf, being at the lake or beach. These activities are more special than ever now that she gets to spend them with her granddaughter. Since summer is her favorite time of year, Debbie loves July 4th. The burgers, lake time, and fireworks bring her so much joy.

She makes it her goal to make children feel comfortable in the office. Heather says there is no greater success than seeing a previously fearful child come in for a visit where they are smiling, happy, and excited to see her. Heather and her husband Garrett have two children who they are teaching all about lake life during the summer. They spend the summer boating and playing in the water with their kids.
Dental Hygienist
Kim has been a dental hygienist for over 30 years and loves helping improve her patients’ smiles. She is most proud to say that she had a patient choose a career in dentistry because of their own experience as her patient. What an incredible testimony! Kim and her husband Frank have one son and a soon-to-be daughter-in-law. They are excited to be growing their family. Kim makes wreaths on the side in her business Krafty Sisters.

Lois has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 1994. In 2021, she completed her expanded function training which allows her to have a wider scope of practice with our team. Rogersville native, Lexie always intended to work with kids when she became a RDA. She feeds off the energy of the Kingsport Pediatric Dentistry as we strive to make the dentist office fun rather than a fearful experience for children. She and her fiance Evan love the outdoors. They take their Labrador Retriever, Maple, hunting and fishing. The couple is finalizing their wedding plans for an October wedding.

Can you believe that KK has wanted to work in the dental field since she was 9? She loves this field. In 2018, she graduated from Ross Medical School as a RDA. She loves helping patients overcome their fear of the dentist so much, that she will soon be an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. KK truly has a passion for learning more in the dental field. During the summer, she and her son Wyatt spend lots of time in the pool splashing, playing, and helping him grow in his swimming abilities.

Lexi is an Australian Labradoodle. She has joined our family as a therapy dog for our patients. Lexi is still a puppy and learning, but her presence helps calm and relax the children. She is a hypoallergenic dog, which means no shedding and in MOST cases people with allergies are not affected by her. If for any reason you or your child do not want Lexi out and about while you are in the office, please let us know and we will be happy to put her in her bed!
